The work of VirtualCable team, the company that develops and supports the VDI and vApp connection broker UDS Enterprise, has been recognized this year with its nomination in two of the categories of the Open Awards.
The VDI project of the Public Centre for Social Welfare in Eupen (Belgium) is eligible for the award as Best success story company/public administration. This organization relies on Open Source technologies and Free Software. That’s the reason why for its desktop virtualization infrastructure they have chosen the 100% Open Source VDI solution made up by XCP-ng hypervisor, Xen Orchestra management interface and UDS Enterprise VDI connection broker.
Open Virtualization Blog, the blog managed by the UDS Enterprise team, has been nominated as Best Media or Blog. This category recognizes media or blogs whose content is related to IT and Innovation field, which encourage the dissemination of Open Source news through the quality and quantity of their articles, both on their website and social networks.
The popular voting process has started has started this week and it will be open until June 11. From that date on, the 3 finalists of each category will be revealed. They will be those most voted by the public. The names of the winners will be announced at the 2019 Open Awards ceremony. It will be held within the framework of OpenExpo Europe 2019, the largest business event about Open Source innovation & Free Software in Europe.
